Basketball League: Dragons, St. George’s Win
The Bermuda Basketball Association’s Premier Basketball League continued inside the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium with a double header last night [Jan 16].
In the opener the Devonshire Dragons defeated the Paget Bearcats 66 – 59. John Lee led the Devonshire Dragons to victory with 23 points, while Keiron Dill scored a game high 28 points for the Paget Bearcats.
The nightcap went to the wire, with a double overtime needed. The St. George’s International’s defeated the Smiths Wildcats handing them their second straight loss 82 – 79.
Damon Saunders and Johnny Lugo both scored 23 points for the St. George’s International’s, while Steven Simons scored a game high 32 points for the Smiths Wildcats.
