Bermuda Scholarships Readies For Season

January 23, 2013

Bermudascholarships.com, Bermuda’s definitive online scholarship resource, is now preparing to launch its third season.

In making the announcement Danielle Riviere, speaking on behalf of the site’s governing Committee, noted: “Students are already logging on to the site to research 2013 scholarship opportunities and it is imperative that we are ready to support their applications with accurate and current information.”

To this end the Committee is now appealing to all scholarship providers, to review and update their current information in advance of the site’s official February 4th launch.

Ms Riviere explained further: “It is very easy for scholarship providers to log on and update their profiles, however, those wishing assistance need only email info@bermudascholarships.com for online support. Bermudascholarships.com is a very powerful tool; last year we had 127 award providers registered on the site, collectively offering 423 scholarships, valued at over $10.8 million.
With numbers like this it is vital that the information is accurate.”

“While award providers work to up-date their information, students are also actively encouraged create their profiles and search for opportuntities.

“Bermudascolarships.com is a unique resource for students and their families, looking for college and university funding. Once a student has completed their profile and their relevant documents, including manuscripts and essays, have been securely uploaded to their profile, they can apply simultaneously for multiple scholarships.

“Anyone wishing additional information on Bermudascolarships.com, a not-for-profit portal managed by The Centre on Philanthropy, should email info@bermudascholarships.com.”

“Last year 1,980 students created profiles on the site and 10,831? were shortlisted for scholarships”

????? – numbers need editing please.

Students apply can apply for up to 20 scholarships each.

If 1980 students apply for 10 scholarships each, and get shortlisted for 5 of the scholarships that they apply for, you would have 9,900 shortlisted for scholarships.
