Cricket: Bermuda Win Third Game In Barbados
Playing in their third game of the training tour to Barbados, Bermuda took on the Barbados Defense Force at Weymouth.
The Bermuda team selected for the game included Rodney Trott – Captain, Janeiro Tucker Vice Captain, Dion Stovell, Jekon Edness, Treadwell Gibbons, Delray Rawlins, Dennico Hollis, Sammy Robinson, Kamau Leverock, Tre Manders and Greg Maybury. Jason Anderson and Jacobi Robinson are the reserves.
The Barbados Defense Force won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 63, vice captain Janiero Tucker was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures 7.5-4-6-6.
Only two Barbados Defense Force batsmen scored in double figures them being Antonio Greenidge who score 26 and Athelbert Brathwaite added 14.
In reply Bermuda was set a target of 230, they crossed the Barbados Defense Forces having loss only two wickets that being Dion Stovell who was out for 24 and Jekon Edness without scoring. Bermuda was eventually all out for 131, ninety-eight runs short of their 230 run target.
Treadwell Gibbons was the top scorer with 51, Gibbons scored his half century off 70 deliveries in 94 minutes, other then Stovell the only other batsman in double figures was Tre Manders who scored 15.
