Video: Firefighters Respond To Berkeley Road
[Updated] At around 11.45pm this evening the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service responded to a fire on the corner of Berkeley Road and St John’s Road.
The police also responded to the scene, and are blocking traffic to the area. Smoke could be seen emitting from the area of the house, and two fire vehicles and ten firefighters responded to the scene.
The damage was contained to the exterior of the house, and bikes on the porch were also damaged. Both the Fire Investigator and the Police Forensic Unit arrived on scene at around 12.30am, and the road was re-opened to traffic at around 2am.
Update Feb 14, 5.01pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:45pm on Wednesday, February 13th police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel attended a reported fire at a residence in the St. John’s Road, Berkeley Road Pembroke area.
“The fire apparently extensively damaged three motorcycles outside the residence before firefighters extinguished the blaze. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
