Miss Carol Hill, author of “Rays of Hope” [a history of The Sunshine League], attended the event on Saturday and presented the Board with a cheque for $40,000.00, being the proceeds of the sale of her book over the years.

Aderonke Bademosi Wilson, Chair of The Sunshine League, stated “It was wonderful to see so many members of the community in attendance at the Open House. During the formal portion of the afternoon, we shared the new vision and mission of The Sunshine League and encouraged people to join the various committees and other volunteer opportunities which will become active in the weeks and months ahead.”

Mrs. Bademosi Wilson added, “We were honored that Miss Carol Hill was able to join us; she made a very generous donation to support the programmes which we will implement as we move forward and nurture the seed that was planted some 94 years ago. We thank Miss Hill profusely for her generosity and continued support of The Sunshine League’s work.”
