Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda [CURB] will be holding its first everTag Day Fundraiser Event on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in honor of The United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is annually observed on March 21st.

A spokesperson said, “CURB is a non-governmental, volunteer organization and our advocacy work in the community focuses on racial justice, social justice, diversity and inclusion.

“We offer many programmes to the community such as workshops,lectures, training opportunities, forums, film presentations and discussion groups, and provide advocacy around important issues such Stop & Search legislation, protection of historic sites of importance to the Black community, and education around issues such as identity, culture and privilege.

“As a volunteer organization we rely on funding from philanthropic organizations, companies and the public to help us continue to offer our educational programmes to the community.

“CURB supporters will be in multiple locations in Hamilton City on March 21st and we look forward to the public¹s support of our efforts to provide racial and social justice to Bermuda.
