Cricket Board Clarify Kamau Leverock Report

Bermuda Cricket Board President Lloyd Fray responded to a newspaper report about cricket player Kamau Leverock, saying he was extremely disappointed by the report.

Mr Fray said that Leverock “was not dropped for the T20 tournament and neither has been axed from Bermuda’s senior squad,” that he actually withdrew from the squad due to school commitments and has been replaced by Dennico Hollis.

“In our experience it is not unusual for young men, balancing schoolwork and cricket commitments, to be unavailable for international cricket duty. In particular the current squad features many younger players that are in secondary or tertiary education,” said Mr Fray.
