PLP Constituency #18 Host Annual Seniors Tea
The PLP Branch for Pembroke West Central [Constituency #18] held their Second Annual Seniors Tea at the Pembroke Community Club on Saturday [Apr 6].
Forty seniors from the local community enjoyed a programme featuring refreshments, a variety of door prizes, and a surprise performance from Shine Hayward.
A special award was given to the oldest person in attendance, first time attendee Ms. Doris Corbin who is 100 years of age.
Area MP David Burt said, “It is a pleasure to entertain our seniors every year at this event. The members of our branch work extremely hard to hold this programme every year. We doubled our turnout from last year and look forward to growing the event so that it becomes and annual staple for the seniors in our area.”
The Annual Seniors Tea is held the first Saturday after Easter every year. Next year’s event will be held on April 26, 2014 and is open to all seniors in the local area
