SAGE To Hold Two More Meetings This Week

May 27, 2013

Two more public meetings will be held by the Spending and Government Efficiency [SAGE] Commission this week.

The first will take place on Tuesday [May 28[ at Penno’s Wharf in St. George’s and the second on Thursday [May 30] at Mount Saint Agnes Academy auditorium. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 900 p.m.

“There was open and honest dialogue and discussion at the first meeting on May 21, so please come and share your thoughts with chairman Brian and the members of the SAGE Commission,” said a SAGE spokesperson. “How can costs be realised but necessary services rendered? Tell us what you think.”

Members of the SAGE commission have been charged by Finance Minister Bob Richards with making recommendations about how the Bermuda Government can do its job more efficiently and with greater accountability.
