10-Year-Old Donates Graduation Gift Money
10-year-old Aaron Simmons recently graduated from West Pembroke Primary School, and donated the funds he received as graduation gifts to charity.
Aaron donated $100 to the ‘Neighbours Helping Neighbours’ Campaign to assist children in need through the Coalition for the Protection of Children.
Aaron giving his donation to to BELCO Customer Care Manager Donna Watson:
Aaron was inspired to donate funds he received as graduation gifts from friends and family to the Coalition after viewing the organisation’s television programme about the increasing number of children in need in Bermuda.
The ‘Neighbours Helping Neighbours’ Campaign encourages donations to an emergency fund to help clients of Age Concern, Family Centre and the Coalition for the Protection of Children with electricity bills or other urgent requirements.
You can donate to ‘Neighbours Helping Neighbours’, by picking up an envelope at BELCO headquarters or online at the agencies’ respective websites: ageconcern.bm, tfc.bm, and coalition.bm.
