2013 Seagull Round-The-Island Race
The 2013 Seagull Round-The-Island Race Day was held on Saturday [June 22] and proved to be a long one for all.
The Line honors went to Jason Semos’ Naught Bits who competed in Class A which had boats under 16 feet with an old engine stock they completed the course at 2.04pm.
The All Bermuda Wood Dinghy Class E1a – Stock Old Engine Winner was Chris Kulmala’s “Seven Wells they finished after Seven Hours and Thirty-Four minutes.
Hans Hirschi powered his Original Ding Gull Berry Non Wood Dinghy to victory collecting the Prop Spring Trophy after recording a time of Five Hours and Fifty-One minutes.
Now HERE is a race which is truly Bermudian. Where else can you race & fish at the same time? Where else is the consumption of beer or rum while racing permitted?
This race has real class & style.
