Bermuda’s Official Island Games Kit Revealed
As the excitement mounts around the upcoming Island Games, sponsor Hiscox has unveiled the official Bermuda team kit. Held every two years, the Island Games are due to be held for the first time in Bermuda from the 13-19 July.
Jeremy Pinchin, CEO for Hiscox Bermuda, said: “Less than a year on from the London Olympics, those suffering from ‘Games’ withdrawal will be excited to see the return of this biennial festival of sport, which binds 24 member islands together.
“For the first time the Island Games are coming here and we are proud to sponsor the Bermuda team as part of our commitment to supporting both sport and youth development in Bermuda. It promises to be a great spectacle and we’re delighted to be playing a central part in what should be a cracking seven day festival of sport.”

With Hiscox as one of the main sponsors, the team’s kit features the company’s distinctive fleur-de-lis logo.
Selange Gitschner, Marketing Coordinator for Hiscox Bermuda, said: “When it came to thinking about the Bermuda team kit, we wanted something that would stand out and showcase our talented Bermudian athletes.
“A lot of time and thought went into designing this unique and striking kit, designed by Island Embroidery and produced using special heat-sensitive dyes to print the graphic on to the fabric. While it’s a custom for teams to swap their kit, I think quite a few of the Bermudian team will be hanging onto their kit this year!”
The Island Games attracts around 2000 athletes and officials from 24 member islands in, or associated with Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK, as well as the Caribbean. It includes a wide range of sporting events from athletics, to golf, sailing, basketball, swimming and tennis.
