Jackson School 60th Anniversary Dance Recital
The Jackson School of Performing Arts 60th Annual Dance Recital will be held at the City Hall’s Earl Cameron Theatre on June 19, 20, 21 and 22.
Entitled “Rewind 2013 to 1953″, tickets for the recital are $39 for adults and $33 for children 12 and are available from www.bdatix.bm
The Jackson School of Performing Arts was founded in 1953 by Louise Jackson, with an enrollment of 40 students. In 1999, with the retirement of Mrs. Jackson, Jeanne Legere took over the school and became managing director.
Today, the school has an enrollment of nearly 800 students. At present, the school offers classes in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, hip hop and salsa. It also offers pre-school dance at TeeterTots and Kiddie Academy.
