July 22, 2013

A 30-year-old man — who cannot be named for legal reasons — appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [July 22] and pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl and intruding on the privacy of a female.

Both charges arose out of an alleged incident on Front Street while the young lady was accompanied by her friends.

The Senior Magistrate set bail at $15,000, with one surety, and ordered the defendant to wear an electronic monitoring device [ankle bracelet] and to only leave his home with the permission of the Court.

The man is set to return to Court for mention on 6th August.
