Jekon Edness Named Sportsman Of The Week
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced the winner of the weekly Chivas Cricket Sportsman Award [CCSA]. The BCB confirmed that the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association [BCUA] has selected Jekon Edness of Somerset Cricket Club as the Chivas Sportsman of the week.
“The BCUA explained that during a game versus Western Stars, Somerset had an appeal for a catch turned down. Jekon as captain ensured that players’ reaction to this disappointment did not breach true sportsmanship and both he and his team took the decision in stride,” the BSB said.
“Throughout the game Jekon was truly in charge of his players not only ensuring their behavior was exemplary but ensured that his team maintained an excellent over rate leading to sustaining a constant proper pace of the game.”
