NY Photographer Offers Lecture, Workshop
Matthew Karas, an artistic photographer hailing from New York, will be offering two events for those interested in his work to locals later this month, providing anyone with an interest in capturing ideas and people on film with the chance to better understand what it takes to have an eye for recognizing unbeatable moments and photographic opportunities.

The Possibilities of Photography Lecture
The first event will consist of a straightforward lecture given by Karas, allowing him to display and explain the portfolio that he has put together through more than 30 years of artistic endeavor, with photographs ranging from his extensive coverage of the human body in motion to portraiture, along with his work on television commercials and short films.

Time: Reception at 5:30 PM, lecture at 6 PM

Photography in Motion Workshop
The second event offers a more hands-on environment for aspiring photographers, with Karas leading an intensive three hour foray into the many key points related to effectively capturing people and objects in motion on film. Following the workshop itself, attendees will be given the opportunity to photograph professional dancers from United Dance Production, allowing them to immediately put into action the new skills that they’ve learned.
