D.I.A. — the Devil’s Isles Audio band — has been gaining steady popularity over the past few years, after forming in 2010. In that time, D.I.A. have opened for Toni Braxton at the Bermuda Music Festival with Chewstick; gone on tour with Chewstick to New York City & Toronto; and backed the best of Bermuda’s artists including Joy T. Barnum, Riddla, Kombat, Uzi Mon, Ramon Clarke, and more.

Formed as a backing band, they play all-original music from a variety of genres including hip hop, reggae, soul and their newly developed, uniquely Bermudian genre, gombass.

D.I.A. is comprised of Bermudian drummer Scarlet Thomas, guitarist Kofi; boy wonder, percussionist Aden Peets, and music director Derek G. Simmons on bass and production.

The band will be accompanied with vocals by some of Bermuda’s top hip hop artists: K.A.S.E., Haz, Rowdy Piper, and HOTT 107.5 hip hop challenge winner, Imari. 19 year old songstress Amora Rose provides sultry vocals, while newcomer Raven Baksh adds a dose of soul.

Billed as an end-of-summer concert, the show is the last opportunity for them to play in their current make-up before pianist Aden Peets returns to the University of Salford to finish his studies in Popular Music and singer Raven Baksh returns to Berklee College of Music.

The show also celebrates rapper K.A.S.E.’s 25th birthday and will feature giveaways and prizes throughout the night.
