Four Sailors Compete In 2013 Byte CII Worlds
The 2013 Byte CII Worlds at Sail Newport, Rhode Island got underway with a roster of 22 countries including Bermuda represented.
Forty boats lined up for the three races on day one, and Bermuda has four sailors taking part including Peter Dill, Ceci Wollmann, Ben Smith and Chase Cooper.
Dill ended day one in 3rd place with six overall points, Dill finished the first race in 5th, and then finished 4th in the second race before closing out the day with a second place finish. Dill was able to throw out his fifth place finish.
Wollmann currently holds down the 6th place spot and is the top female sailor with 11 points. She recorded a 8th place finish in the first race, then she finished 3rd in the second race before closing out with a 8th place finish in the third race.
Smith is in 25th with 43 points, while Cooper ended the day in 31st with 59 points.
