Video: Summer Art Walk In St George’s

St George’s was the location of the first Summer Art Walk on June 15th where the St. George’s Events Committee organized the first of many walks to come.

The Art Walk in the East promotes the arts in all forms including, but not limited to: pottery making, cedar carvings, paintings, weaving, local film, singing, dancing, instrumental and spoken word. All artists are invited to show their wares inside participating businesses, as street vendors or at satellite stages placed around the town.

Artists that showed works included Ami Zanders, James Coooper, Milton Hill, Christopher Grimes, Heidi Cowen, Moniz Made, Lloyd Webbe, Chewstick, 1 Undread, Haz ,Lawrence Trimingham, Tricia Walters, Susan Thomas, Dejon Simons, Sharon Wilson, Monica Jones, Jill Amos Raine, Dianne Amos, Donna Smith, Anne Kermode, Alan Smith and Vejay Steede to name a few.

This year the Bermuda National Gallery also opened their new satellite gallery in the Bridge House in St. George’s in conjunction with the Art Walk. The highlights of the even can be seen in Lara D. Smith’s video recap below. The next Art Walk in the East is scheduled for November 3rd, 2013 in the Olde Town and all are welcome.
