Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Safety, Michael Dunkley yesterday [Aug 31] laid a wreath at the Memorial for the four Bermudians who died in Hurricane Fabian ten years ago in September of 2003.

Minister Dunkley said, “It is important to remember those who were lost in that terrible storm and to be mindful of the effect that their loss has had on their families. It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years but I’m sure that we all vividly remember Fabian and continue to extend our thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims.

“It is also important to recognize the work of the September 5th Foundation and the success they are having to date in helping the impacted families. They demonstrate once again how a community can rally to help in times of need.”

The September 5th Foundation will be holding the 10th Annual Memorial Day Ride today [Sept 1] to remember the four people who lost their lives on the Causeway during Hurricane Fabian in 2003.

The ride, which will commence at 2:00pm at the City Hall in Hamilton, will head east to the Memorial Bench on Kindley Field Road, St. George’s for a short tribute and remembrance.

Picture says a lot. The event was held today Sept. 1st. He took the picture/photo op yesterday. OBA doe not get it, it was about familes people who died and not q photo opportunity by himself poor PR advice. We want to see families , people. That is like the president on Sept 10 doing something at ground zero and no family or officers present. Tacky
