Early Cruise Arrival After Passenger Breaks Ribs

The Norwegian Breakaway arrived in Bermuda early 12 hours last night [Sept 17] in order to land a passenger who had suffered a number of injuries including fractured ribs following a fall.

The ship arrived off the east end of Bermuda and transferred the 61 year old female patient to the Pilot/Rescue cutter St David for onward transportation by ambulance from Ordnance Island to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The Norwegian Breakaway proceeded offshore to await her scheduled arrival time of daylight today.
