Youngest Ever Winners In Trunk Island Swim
History was made in Harrington Sound during the Trunk Island Swim on Sunday [Sept 22] as the race produced its youngest ever winners in both the Male and Female Divisions.
Fourteen year old Jesse Washington touched the wall first in a time of 16:53, just ahead of another 14 year old Tyler Smith who finished second with a time of 16:58. Graham Smith rounded out the top three finishers with a time of 17:27.
Twelve year old Emma Harvey was the first female finisher, she touched the wall in a time of 18:09 finishing 8th overall, Lisa Blackburn was the second female finisher she clocked a time of 18:30 finishing 9th overall and one spot back was the third female finisher Shannon Hassell who recorded a time of 18:41.
