Cahow Man To Share Living Museum Project
Later today [Oct 10], the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] and the Bermuda Lionfish Taskforce will present an evening with Jeremy Madeiros and JP Rouja titled Cahow Man…Cahow Cam, giving those in attendance the opportunity to learn about the ongoing Living Museum project taking place on Nonsuch Island, with a specific look at the cahow, that ever-interesting nocturnal bird that burrows into the earth to make its nest.
A spokesperson said, “Come and join Jeremy Madeiros, Bermuda’s Conservation Officer, and “Cahow Man,” as he shares the progress on the Living Museum project on Nonsuch Island. JP Rouja of Look Bermuda gets out from behind the camera to reveal more about the “Cahow Cam” project, a public-private venture that has allowed for 24 hour monitoring of this amazing bird in its burrow.”
The event will take place tonight at 7.00pm at the Harbourfront, with happy hour drinks beginning at 6.00pm and the doors opening at 6.45pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling 294-0204 or by visiting Oceans Gift Shop at BUEI. To include a meal with your evening, straight from a special menu at Harbourfront, an advance purchase is required for $39.75, including gratuities.
