Coconut Rockets Makes Fox’s Top 20 Photos
A photo featuring Bermuda’s “Coconut Rockets” flyboarders has made the top 20 sports photographs for the week on FoxSports.com.
The caption for the photo, which was taken by Ross Kinnaird for Getty Images, said: “A flyboarder has some fun near the 16th green during the final round of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. We can’t tell you much about flyboarding, but we can tell you Adam Scott won the golf event.”
Introduced to the island earlier this year, flyboarding involves an attachment on a jetski that sends the person flying through the air. The Coconut Rockets are currently operating out of Black Bay Beach in Dockyard, with rates starting from $90.
In related news, the Coconut Rockets team also qualified three of its team members — including Callon Burns who is featured in the photo above — for the Flyboard® World Championships being held in Qatar next month.

Vice Commodore, you have great ideas and I applaud your forward thinking. I think we should enter into this great extreme watersport in the future. it however is imperative that we ensure SEPs are in place to make it worthwhile.
Bermuda provides a perfect venue for all manner of water sports, extreme and otherwise. Regardless of the secondary term given to each, all have an element of danger (who hasn’t been bonked by a boom while sailing)!
Having passed through the required training to become a Flyboard operator (20 hours operating the jet ski, and 8 hours actually flying, plus passing a CPR/AED course) I can say that Flyboarding is extremely safe. The actual Flyboard is available through distributors, who will not sell to individuals desiring to engage in business without a course of training.
