  2. Mazumbo says:

I hope she was in a position to tell these guys what she had to endure back in de day, and see if they would be still smiling for their photo op !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Really? says:

Nasty – can you not find your way to glory in a spirit that has made 106 without this type of comment? She probably has far more decorum that you will ever achieve.

    • John E. Thorne says:

      Go get a life!

    • Mike Hind says:

I wonder what she would think of your racism.

    • Concerned says:

You must be a plp member. That is why I can’t support you people anymore. Just hate, hate and more hate. The only racist is you. Both these guys try and help to build a better Bermuda through their public service and private business. What do you provide other than every time you write, it is a racial comment. Like Mr. John Thorne wrote, get a life, and perhaps you might start to be happier!!!

      • smh says:

i dont understand what plp has to do with his stupid comment.

    • mixitup says:

      I agree Mazumbo..lol

      • Mazumbo says:

Reading the comment on Mmmm it is incredible of those events that happened but what is conspicuously not mentioned is the era she lived in.

    • Colourless says:

There’s the familiar story about two grasshoppers that fell into a bowl of cream. One of them complained and groaned over his plight, and he sank to the bottom and drowned. The other kept singing and cheerfully kicked his feet until the cream turned to butter and he hopped away to freedom. I reckon Aunt Hilda was like the second grasshopper!

      • Mazumbo says:

Until Lions tell their tale , the story of the hunt will always glorify the hunter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Charlie not everybody has the Johnny Barnes Syndrome.

  3. James says:

Congratulations to Aunt Hilda Smith, who I have known all my 64yrs! She played the piano and taught Sunday School for years at Evangel Tabernacle, during the years when black people were able to flourish in their own schools and churches and own their own homes! May the Lord continue to bless her real good! Love, Frances Anne (nee Hodgson)
