The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ Historical Heartbeats Lecture Series on October 5 will feature guest lecturers Meredith Ebbin, Andrew Bermingham, Ronald Lightbourne and Lisabet Outerbridge who will share stories about Bermudians who have contributed to our society and whose stories are perhaps not widely known.
Andrew Bermingham will discuss war veteran Fred Dolan, whose story is featured at the Bermuda Historical Society. Lisabet Outerbridge will share stories about her grandfather Stuart Outerbridge, who caused a furore when he married African-American singer Royce Wallace in segregated Bermuda; Meredith Ebbin will speak about the Seaton family – Ruth Seaton James and Judge Earl Seaton; and Ronald Lightbourne will discuss pianist Joseph Richards.
