Police Appeal: Missing 17 Year Old [Located]

Jah-Kintae Williams[Updated] The police are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating a 17 year old female who has been missing for over a week.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 17 year old Jah-Kintae Williams, who has apparently been missing since Wednesday, October 9th.

“The teenager is described as dark complexioned, approximately 5’2” tall of athletic build with dark brown hair, often worn pulled back.

“She was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue top, black spandex pants and black open toe sandals.

“Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 17 year old Jah-Kintae Williams is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 247-1678 or the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”

Update Oct 19, 10.16am: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Jah-Kintae Williams. She returned home Friday night safe and well.”

    What does “apparently been missing mean” and what does Vulnerable Persons Unit” mean exactly, AND, why, after a week, is the public being asked for assistance?

      Because the parents or other concerned family/friends may have just reported it to police?
