Developing Artists Program [DAP] Audition Call
The Developing Artists Program [DAP] kicks off their program with an open audition call for its July 2014 program on Saturday, November 30th, 2013 at Somersfield Academy in Devonshire from 11am to 3pm. DAP is looking for young, talented artists to participate in the program which is designed to cultivate talent, provide growth opportunities and a glimpse into the life of an artist.
The goals of the Developing Artists Program are:
- To expose young musicians to overseas training and specialized instruction.
- To further enhance their performance skills, as well as to encourage their love for the arts.
- To provide networking opportunities to further enhance their musical ability, their musical careers, and ultimately our community as a whole.
The audition is open to young people aged 13 to 18, under the following categories:
- Singing
- Song writing
- Production [Music]
- Instrumental Music
- Acting
- Photography
- Filmmaking
Performers [singers, musicians, actors] are asked to prepare one piece [no more than 5 minutes in length].
Producers, photographers and filmmakers are asked to bring a sample of their work to the audition. Audition sheets and additional information – available from PLM’s website and their Facebook Event Page.
