Football: ‘Bermuda 8′ & Thomas College Advance
Thomas College Men’s Soccer team — which has eight Bermudian footballers on their roster — defeated Husson University 3 – 1 in the North Atlantic Conference [NAC] Men’s Soccer Quarterfinals.
The eight Bermudians currently attending Thomas College including Winston Trott, Mikkail Crockwell, Chris Godfrey, Zeon Robinson, Marcus Johnson, Mikal Simmons, London Steede-Jackson and Tre Ming.
With the victory, the Defending Conference Champions Thomas will advance to the Semi-Final round where they will travel to #1 ranked Castleton.
Thomas was first to crack the score at the 14th minute mark, taking the game to 1-0.
At 20:25 Thomas would increase their lead to 2-0 on a through ball by Paul Rechichi that met the feet of Ming, who proceeded to chip the ball over Potter’s hands for the score.
Husson cut the deficit however to 2-1 a few minutes later, and the two teams went into the break with Thomas leading 2-1.
Thomas put the game out of the reach in the second half at 72:18 when Rechichi was rewarded a penalty shot, and beat the keeper to the right side of the goal.
