Police Investigate Assault On Camp Hill Road

[Updated] At approximately 10am this morning [Nov 16] the police responded to an incident on Camp Hill Road after one person was injured in an altercation involving what the police termed a “bladed article,” which is unofficially understood to be a machete.

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “At 10.03am today police responded to a report of an incident at an establishment on Camp Hill Road.

“Upon police arrival, it was ascertained that a man has been assaulted with a bladed article. Both the victim and the assailant had left the area before police arrival.

“The victim made his way to the hospital by private vehicle, and is being treated for unspecified injuries at this time.”

Update 1.58pm: The police confirmed that a 24 year old Warwick man is at KEMH being treated for lacerations to his upper body, and also said his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
