TCD Internet Out Due To “Cut Cable” [Fixed]

[Updated] No licensing transactions can be completed at TCD today [Nov 7] as their internet service is out due to a cut cable.

A Transport Ministry spokesperson said, “Please be advised that internet service to the Transport Control Department has been severed due to a cut cable.

“As such, no licensing transactions can be completed as the system is web based. TCD will remain open for non-licensing transactions.”

Update 4.16pm: The TCD website [www.etcd.gov.bm] is still operational.

Update 7.40pm: A Government spokesperson said, “Internet service at TCD has been restored and it will be business as usual tomorrow.”

    That’s all it takes now days to bring down a company. A cut line, a fire, a disgruntled employee deleting files of a computer. Where is the backup for a situation like this? I see a generator in case the power goes out at TCD.
