Two Top 10 Division Finishes In Miami Ironman
A total of thirteen local triathletes registered for the Miami 70.3 Ironman event recently, with ten crossing the finish line.
Steven Petty crossed the line in a time of 5:49:51 finishing 1,140th overall, but Petty recorded a podium finish in the Men’s 60-64 Age Group Division where he finished 2nd. Christine Patton finished 8th in the Female 50-54 Age Group Division on her way to finishing 937th overall clocking a time of 5:39:14.
Jonathan Betts finished 574th overall clocking a time of 5:16:53, Betts came out of the Water in a time of 33:18, before completing the Run Course in a time of 2:42:32 and then completed the Run Course in 1:56:53.
Michael Schindel finished 707th overall and was 81st in the Men’s 30-34 Age Group Division with a time of 5:24:31. Schindel finished the Swim in 37:51, and then the Bike Course in 2:57:37 and then completed the Run Course in 1:44:13.
Claire De Ste Croix’s time of 5:33:17 saw her finish 832nd overall and she was the 13th Female finisher in the 45-49 Age Group Division, De Ste Croix clocked 44:50 on the Swim Course, 2:55:58 on the Bike Course and 1:47:11 on the Run Course.
Laura Farge-Lowe finished 27th in the Female 30-34 Age Group Division after she crossed the line in a time of 5:44:13 finishing 1,027th overall.
Timothy Palmer finished 1,035th overall and 70th in the Men’s 50-54 Age Group Division after he crossed the line in a time of 5:44:40, while Sharon Hammond clocked a time of 5:48:56 finishing 24th in the Female 40-44 Age Group Division and 1,118th overall.
Deanna Didyk clocked a time of 5:57:48 finishing 1,276th overall and 32nd in the Female 40-44 Age Group Division, while Lesley-Jane Smith finished 1,303rd overall clocking a time of 5:59:07, Smith’s time saw her finish 37th in the Female 30-34 Age Group Division.
