Wolfpack League: Thunder, Spurs & Bulls Win

The Wolfpack Fall Basketball Youth League season continued inside the BHS Gymnasium on Saturday [Nov 9].

The Thunder made it four wins in a row by defeating the Heat 30-23. Coach Vernon Lambe named Sakari Famous and Andy Perez as the players of the game for the Heat in the losing effort. Coach Charles Peters named Liam McCue and Jason Gonsalves as the players of the game for the victorious Thunder.

Coach Lakeisha Bell’s Spurs added another win defeating the Knicks 49-15. Sammir Rahman and Miguel Perry were the Knicks players of the game. “Today’s game was a successful one, the Knicks were shorthanded and the score reflected that,” said Bell. Jeremiah Andrade and Jermayne Dears were the Spurs players of the game.

The Bulls, coached by Paul Wilson successfully secured the best record in the league heading into the playoffs as they defeated Coach Sarah Moxley’s Pacers by a score of 34-19. “Today’s game was about defense. We switched up and showed different looks,” said Wilson.

The Bulls took an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back. For the Pacers, SiYaunne Hall, Matthew Amaral, and Josh Liyanage were top players in the defeat. Coach Wilson named Keevon Minors and Inshan-nae Smith as the Bulls players of the game.
