13-year-old Bermudian singer Lucy Rose Petty is quickly making a name for herself in the music business, with her original song “Big Fish” recently taking her to the finals of the South East Regional portion of the United Kingdom’s British Open Mic competition.
Lucy has now made it through to the Area Finals and is one performance away from the National Finals to be held at the O2.

Lucy lives in Haywards Heath in the United Kingdom, but still visits Bermuda every August. She performed at Chewstick when she was on the island last summer. Her parents recall her musical abilities showing themselves when Lucy was still very young, singing country music in the car while traveling.
After working with her singing voice since early childhood, Lucy has taken up the guitar over the past two years, having graduated from the double bass which she used to play for her school jazz band.
