Bank Of Butterfield Names New Executive VP

The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited has named John Maragliano [pictured] Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Maragliano was previously Senior Vice President, Finance and was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer in August 2013.

Mr. Maragliano joined Butterfield in 2002 from PwC Bermuda to head the Treasury Middle Office function reporting directly to the Group CFO.

Since 2005, within Butterfield’s Group Finance division, he has been responsible for Group financial and regulatory reporting,Group financial forecasting and budgeting, business performance management, and has worked closely with the Senior Executive teamon strategic planning, acquisitions and divestures, and capital planning.

Prior to joining Butterfield, Mr. Maragliano held increasingly senior positions in public accounting firms both locally and in Canada, including PwC and Grant Thornton in Canada. He is a Chartered Accountant [CA] and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst [CFA] designation with a degree in business administration and accounting.
