Dage Minors Named Track Rookie Of The Week
Bermudian Dage Minors of the Franklin Pierce University Men’s Track and Field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Track Rookie of the Week for the week ending on December 8th, as announced by the school’s official website.
Minors made his collegiate debut on the track on the weekend at the UMass Boston Indoor Open. He was one of two Franklin Pierce University runners to win his event on the day, running a 1:55.75 to take first place in the 800 meters.
After conversion due to the meet’s track size, the mark was good for second in the Northeast-10 on the indoor season’s opening weekend.
It is the first Northeast-10 weekly award for the Franklin Pierce University in 2013-14. A year ago, the program piled up nine Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week honours across the indoor and outdoor seasons.
