Dec 30th: BHI To Host Annual Networking Event
Bermuda Hospitality Institute will host its Annual Student & Parent Networking Event, featuring round table discussions, followed by a networking session open to all, on Monday, December 30th from 5:30-8:00pm at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
This is a unique opportunity for students to meet face-to-face with top industry professionals discussing career-pathing, as well as young rising stars sharing their dreams and experiences.
“We purposely create an intimate setting that allows for small group discussions,” said Karla Lacey, BHI CEO. “The atmosphere naturally promotes the importance of commitment, dedication and the right attitude that is at the heart of every hospitality business.”
Industry professionals participating in the event represent restaurant management, transportation, attractions, entrepreneurship, human resource management, spa management and guest services.

A previous student attendee has said, “It was a great way to meet others in the industry and find out how they got to their current positions. It was also a very informative way to gain knowledge of the various career options the industry offers. Overall, it was a very enlightening session and a great way to hear and understand that we all must start somewhere to get anywhere.”
A spokesperson said, “Thanks to the support by Audio Visual Electronics Ltd., there will be a prize drawing for iPad Minis, as well as food and soft drinks made available by Butterfield & Vallis and the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Open to graduating high school students, college students and their parents, the event is by ‘Invitation Only’.
