First, Premier Division Weekend Football Results

This past weekend a number of football matches took place in the First Division and Premier Division, with Somerset Eagles, St. George’s Colts, Boulevard Blazers, Hamilton Parish, Somerset Trojans, Flanagan’s Onion’s and Dandy Town Hornets all recording wins.

First Division

Devonshire Colts 1 Somerset Eagles 2

At the Police Field, Marcus Simmons gave visiting Somerset Eagles the lead in the 18th minute, Kanhai Fray doubled the lead one minute later. Lozendro Symonds pulled a goal back for the Devonshire Colts in the 46th minute, however they were unable to get the equalizer as the Somerset Eagles defeated the Devonshire Colts 2 – 1.

St. George’s Colts 2 Young Men Social Club 1

At the Wellington Oval, Mackie Crane gave the home team St. George’s Colts the lead in the 7th minute, Damon Darrell doubled the home team lead when he converted from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute, Andreko Seaman pulled a goal back for Young Men Social Club in the 90th minute, but it was not enough from preventing the St. George’s Colts from returning to the top of the First Division standings.

Paget Lions 2 Boulevard Blazers 3

At the Southampton Oval an own goal in the 20th minute gave the home team Paget Lions the lead, but Aaron Williams equalized for the Boulevard Blazers ten minutes later when he converted from the penalty spot. Dunn-ya Taylor put the Boulevard Blazers ahead on the stroke of half time, Williams then gave the Boulevard Blazers a two goal lead when he found the back of the net in the 77th minute. Dant’e Wellman pulled the Paget Lions within one in the 81st minute making the final nine minutes a tight battle, but in the end visiting Boulevard Blazers held on for the win 3 – 2.

Premier Division

Hamilton Parish 2 North Village Rams 1

At the Wellington Oval, Donavan Thompson scored twice for Hamilton Parish as they returned to winning ways picking up a 2 – 1 win over the visiting North Village Rams. Keishen Bean scored the lone goal for the visitors.

PHC Zebras 0 Somerset Trojans 2

At the Southampton Oval, Deunte Darrell gave the visiting Somerset Trojans the lead in the 41st minute, the lead was doubled in the 55th minute when Kirk Brown scored for the Somerset Trojans as the PHC Zebras fell 2 – 0.

Flanagan’s Onion’s 4 Southampton Rangers 2

At the BAA Field, Keston Lewis scored a hat-trick to lead the Flanagan’s Onion’s to a 4 – 2 win over visiting Southampton Rangers. Greg Muir added the other goal for the home team, Vernon Perinchief and Jahkai Dyer scored a goal each for the visitors.

Dandy Town Hornets 2 St. David’s 0

At the St. John’s Field, Jah-Quille Stowe gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 29th minute over visiting St. David’s. In the 74th minute Angelo Simmons doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead as they came away with a 2 – 0 win.
