Kent Fukushima Wins Goslings Golf Tournament
The Gosling’s Invitational 2013 Tournament came right down to the wire as Canadians Kent Fukushima and Jordan Mitchell and American Joe Horowitz US fought through the 18th hole.
The final round provided both player and spectators an opportunity to enjoy an exciting round at the Belmont Hills Golf Course.
Horowitz shanked the drive off the 18 tee, which allowed Fukushima to keep his lead and finish with a 271, nine 9-under. Fukushima shot a Final Round 1-over par 71 his highest round of the tournament.
Jordan who was marginally behind Birdied the 18th to shoot a 2-under par 68 to take second place with a 6-under par 274 and Horowitz shot a Final Round 2-over par 73 finished at a close third at 5-under 275.
Young Bermudian, Mark Phillips who has recently returned to the island, had a great week in the lead for the Open Division finished with a 8-over par 288 score. Jevon Roberts finished in second place at 18-over par with a 298 and Steven DeCosta finished third at 20-over par with a four day total of 300.
Four Time Tournament winner Hav Trott, also lead the Senior Division for the entire tournament finishing with an impressive 282, 2-over well ahead of all other senior players.
