Snooker: Sandys, Spanish Point, Watford Win
In the latest round of Bermuda Snooker League action, the Sandy’s Boat Club defeated Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club 6-0. John Bromby put Sandy’s Boat Club in the lead by winning his game against Jon Pedro 58-34.
Martin Siese defeated Tom Cunnineham 64-25 and Peter Bromby won both his games against Bart Lewis 52-28 & 46-32. Doubles partners John Bromby and Siese defeated Ross Spurling and Pedro 60-13 to claim the doubles match.
Spanish Point Boat Club defeated Warwick Workman’s Club Two 5-1. In a very close first game Stewart Greenslade defeated Reuben Burchall 45-43 while Ed Gumbs won his game against Nadanja Bailey 69-43. Chris Dakin won both his games against Keith Smith 77-45 & 55-45. Gumbs and Greenslade defeated Burchall and Bailey in the doubles match 51-19.
Watford Sports Club One defeated Royal Artillery Association 4-2. Steven Bremar gave Watford Sports Club One a head start by winning his two games in fine form against Joseph Hayward 85-29 & 72-25.
Jacal Washington handed Zane DeSilva his first defeat for the season beating him 47-29. Mike McGowan defeated Ray DeSilva 54-24. Doubles partners Zane and Ray DeSilva won the doubles match against Washington and Honky Burrows 67-23.
Highest break of the night was shared by Martin Siese and Keith Smith with a 24.
