Teammate Urges Wells To Stick With Bradford
Bermudian striker Nahki Wells should stick with Bradford City despite the offers that are sure to be coming his way during next month’s transfer window, according to a report that quotes teammate Andrew Davies.
Writing in his Telegraph & Argus column, City’s defender said: “I don’t think he needs to go anywhere now. The fans love him, the gaffer loves him and the lads really like him.
“Nahki is only 23 and his big moves and his money will come. Keep scoring goals and it doesn’t matter what team or division he’s at, clubs will be interested.
“I hear people are talking about a £3 million price tag for him but that will shoot up to £5-6 million if he keeps scoring goals and we move up to the Championship.
“You look at Dwight Gayle, who went from Dagenham to Crystal Palace for £6 million rising to £8 million. I’ve played against them both and I don’t think he can lace Nahki’s boots,” said Davies.
The 23 year old Bermudian has 14 goals so far this season, was recently named the PFA Fans Player of the Month, ‘trended’ on Twitter following his hat-trick last month and numerous UK media reports said he can be expected to command a transfer fee in the millions.
Would be nice if Arsenal picked him up.
