Chas Smith Breaks Dalhousie University Record

February 27, 2014

Bermudian track and field athlete Chas Smith has shattered the triple jump record at Dalhousie University, with his leap of 14.66 setting a new record at the Canadian University.

Bermuda National Athletic Association President Donna Watson said, “Chas Smith has had a good weekend being voted rookie of the year and breaking the school record in the triple jump placing first with a distance of 14.66m which of course is a PB for Chas. Chas also won the Long jump with a leap of 6.53m. He is shaping up for a good Carifta Games.”

Last year Smith was awarded BELCO’s Llewellyn Vorley Education Award to go towards his studies at Dalhousie.
