    Concurrently?
    Should have been consecutive.
And you wonder why we are where we are.
    I give up.

  2. PBanks says:

Can he be fined as well? Few things are more disgusting or disrespectful than spitting at another human being.

  3. Ruthless says:

Surely Police must get tired of these sentences! Soon they won’t do anything cause of sentences like this

    • Terry says:

And therein lies the rub Ruthless.
When one starts worry about it it becomes personal.
      That’s makes a good cop.
      Do the job.
Sentencing is a b**** but should be your least worry.

      • Ruthless says:

Next time this same guy it’s in an officers face, they’ll probably beat the s…. Out of him!

  4. Suzie Quattro says:

In the old days he would have ‘slipped’ while being conveyed to the station, accidently breaking an arm, his collar bone, an ankle and his jaw, and dislocating the other arm. And we would have all been very sad indeed at the poor site hurting himself.

    • Thomas Mahoney says:

Of course we only have bits and pieces of info, nothing to say what actually happened and why. I think you are getting carried away. Everyone makes mistakes. You think this man should be beaten because he spat at an officer? Goodness knows what you would do if he actually had touched the man. We have no idea what happened so I think we should all take a chill pill and maybe get more information before passing such judgement.

      • Sandy Bottom says:

He plead guilty to three counts of violently resisting arrest and assault. That isn’t a “mistake”.

      • Suzie Quattro says:

Thomas, do you read the article and really take from it that all he did was spit? If so, you have not adequately comprehended what happened.

  5. Blooper says:

a vile and disgusting act, would the culprit like someone to spit on it? and only 10 days CONSECUTIVE as usual, a f***** joke, spit at me and we will see the consequences, won’t have to worry about ten days. Suppose the piss ant has aids??

    • Rockfish#2 says:

Did you read and understand the article? It states concurrently!

  6. one time says:

Wow the police officer got spit in the face twice, once by the offender and then by the Judge.

  7. X man says:

This is no Joke or is it good news.
The hatred of the Police could come from generations of Bermudians having a bad relationship with the Police which roots back many reasons from the mid 1960′s.
Many decent law adiding people have had some form of negetive encounters with the Police over the years – as for myself – a Middle Aged Person who has never messed with Drugs,Weed, I still had a bad incounter when I was 16 years old when a West Indian Cop tried to plant
a bag of Weed on my at the Dub City in Hamilton Parish. The Cop brushed aside me and all of a sudden said ,”Ah mon,Sha Mon is dis Yours”
I replied “No I don’t smoke Veed I’m trying to go College,” Then the Lady in the booth shouted out to the non Uniformed Policeman ” Hem—- t your allways doing that stupidness in here” the Cop was called by another Cop and he left [ I was saved by the Bell! ]
Now if I had been not so lucky I would have been baned from traveling to the USA FOREVER!
Now back to this Spitting indecent – today these young men don’t have the solid upbringing a lot of us had in the day- a large percentage todays young men are undisciplined, spoiled, disrespectful, and are seriously Bad tempered. — which means more of this type of behavior will come in the future — if we have one!

Take their identities and fly them off island.
Parachute them into places like Arabia, Afghanistan or Ghana.
Plenty of weed / hash / etc to be found.
Wish the Good Luck and say Bye Bye.

  9. The Bear says:

Expectorating upon the Police is inexplicable and such should be accommodated specifically in the statutes as separate offence.
