Photos: The “Regina Maris” School At Sea
The Regina Maris is presently docked in St George’s, bringing a group of students to Bermuda in order to allow them to continue the hands on education that the ship, in use by the School at Sea, promotes.
According to the School at Sea website, “School at Sea connects educational knowledge to experiences, during expeditions and aboard. This way School at Sea challenges young people to work together and inspire others from creativity and responsibility. That’s School at Sea. You sail. You learn.”
According to their website, the Regina Maris was built in 1970 and measures 48 meters and has a total sail area of 650 m2. The students sleep in quadruple cabins, with a total of 32 School Sea’ers fitting on board.
