Results: FA Challenge Cup Semi-Finals
The Dandy Town Hornets and the North Village Rams will meet in the Bermuda Football Association’s 2013/14 FA Challenge Cup Final after both teams recorded 1 – 0 wins at the Wellington Oval today [Mar 23].
Devonshire Cougars 0 North Village Rams 1
Jahron Dickinson’s 11th minute goal was all the scoring in the match as the North Village Rams defeated the defending champions Devonshire Cougars 1 – 0. Dickinson was able to get his left foot to a Kaiwon Dill cross and found the back of the net beating Kioshi Trott from seven yards out to his left.
Dandy Town Hornets 1 Robin Hood 0
After a scoreless first half Treadwell Gibbons converted from the penalty spot in the 48th minute to earn the Dandy Town Hornets the 1 – 0 win. Dandy Town could have scored on a few occasions however squandered chance after chance. Robin Hood also create a few chances in the match and had a penalty appeal turned down in each half.
With two minutes remaining and following a Robin Hood counter attack there was a loud shout for a penalty, but referee Lyndon Raynor waved play on. Robin Hood played the final two minutes with nine men after two of their players were sent off the field for using foul and abusive language towards the referee.
