Twelve Visiting Artists To Paint St George’s

World Heritage WatercolorSt. George’s Foundation will host World Heritage Watercolor for a Wet Paint Auction and Reception on Saturday, April 5, from 6pm to 8pm at World Heritage Centre.

Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. There will be music, hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.

World Heritage Watercolor is a Rhode Island-based group that provides artists with the opportunity to explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites around the world and capture the extraordinary beauty and culture through plein air painting.

This is their first tour, and they have chosen to visit Bermuda and specifically, our World Heritage Site the historic Town of St. George’s and related fortifications.

On April 4 and 5, this group of 12 visiting artists including celebrated Newport watercolorist Richard Grosvenor, will set up all around the town to paint the beauty of our cobbled alleys, historic properties and spectacular landscapes.

The works of art will be auctioned off at the Wet Paint Auction and Reception on the evening of April 5 to raise funds for the St. George’s Foundation.
