Tyrone Pedro Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

Twenty three year old Tyrone Pedro appeared in Supreme Court today [Mar 18] where he pleaded not guilty to unlawfully killing Steven Jireh Iris, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Mr Iris was 22 when he died as a result of a stabbing that took place outside of a residence of Glebe Road on August 23, 2013. He was taken to hospital via private vehicle with serous stab wounds and later succumbed to his injuries.

Pedro remains in custody and will reappear later for a sentencing date to be set.

    Sigh!! This boy has a great mind academically, and was offered a scholarship into Saltus. He let his negative circumstances dictate his future. So sad because God offered him a way out of his situation, and he didnt take advantage. Continue to pray for him.
