Middle School Teacher Of The Year Contest
The Learning Disabilities Association of Bermuda [LDAB] is holding a contest to determine Bermuda’s middle school teacher of the year, inviting students from across the island to submit their favorite teacher for consideration.
A spokesperson said, “We want to know what makes your teacher awesome; enter and win an iPad or Kindle.
“Do you have an outstanding teacher? Does your teacher make learning fun and interesting? Does your teacher show that they care about your education and your success? Tell us what’s special about the way your teacher helps you learn.
“Express the qualities of your teacher either in written, audio, visual, or audio/visual format by submitting a photo essay, a video, a poem, a written essay, or any other creative expression of your choice.”
“The winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Learning Disabilities Association of America’s 52nd Annual International Conference in Chicago in February, 2015.
“To participate and nominate an educator for the title of “Teacher of the Year,” you must be a middle school student, and each entry must creatively express the teacher’s qualities. Entries will be judged on your creativity and your message about your teacher, including how your teacher’s teaching approach stands out.
“Entry forms [PDF here] must be submitted by May 7, 2014, electronically via csousa@ldab.org, via mail to LDAB, PO Box HM 350, Hamilton HM BX, or in person; please email csousa@ldab.org for more information.”
