Photos: Lightning Bolts, Clouds In The East End
For those that were up to witness it, last night [Apr 26] the sky was alive with a display of lightning that lasted until the early hours of this morning, with these photos captured off the east end of the island at approximately 3am.
The clarity of the lightning display depended greatly on one’s vantage point resulting in seeing the actual lightning bolts or the effect from behind the clouds.
In their daily written summary this morning, the Bermuda Weather Service said, “On the 26th high pressure retreated as a frontal boundary approached, the front produced some isolated showers late, and a thunderstorm, producing 0.03″ of precipitation.”

Repent ye! we are doomed!
Straight to the point…once while fishing out of coot pond,inna boat 17′,marine mahogany ply…three thousand brass screws,built on shinbone ally st.Georges,dey hadto take a door and frame out to carry it down the stairs…out 1/2 mile out of coot pond at night with mama…a shperical ball of light decended down from the Heavens above our boat,(there was a witness on shore tuit),I was curious so I extended my palm up underneath it ..
Oddly enough it seemed sentient…it decended to my hand and made a slow path down my arm and around my torso…all the way round and back to my hand…so now mama says hey …I know what this is…it’s ball lightning!…ok…now you tell me….she then explains that it can explode…great I’m thinking now…best raise it slowly and carefully and let it go….you could taste the electricity in your mouth…so I raised my hand and reduced the surface area to my finger tips as I lifted upwards…it slowly went up and started back down…then slowly up again….sure enough at about twenty or thirty feet it implode forcing the boat about one foot underwater…everything was like in slow motion…the force of the implosion and noise and bright flash of light had us stunned and dazed…but we managed to bail quickley enough not to sink…couldn’hear for three days and sight was diminished for two three hour afterward…one thing struck me as odd though…it seemed to be sentient…it didn’t want to leave…strangest thing…
Ripleys’believe it or not….to me…some of the things I have seen in my life…seem like Ripley …was a guy…wrote a book at night…with dark shades on…lookin the other way…

I always wake up in the mid hours of the night, there was a white light coming through the window, I thought someone was in our yard with a flashlight! I woke up my boyfriend to tell him something was flashing in our yard! He looked out the window in complete shock. He said ‘its lightning!’ So I looked out of the window with him and I have never seen it lightning in such a way where it was non-stop, repeatedly just flashing n blinking lighting up the sky! We went outside for a better view. It just seemed so odd I thought the world was coming to an end! Lightning usually flashes like every few mins, but this was just ongoing without a break in between! For over an hour as far as I know, could’ve been longer. Such fine lines, it was insane to see the sky lit up with lightning bolts for so long! Simply amazing but so weird! I dont ever wanna see something like that again! I hate lightnig!

I was on the flipside of this – awoken by my wife who said someone seemed to be in the yard with a flash light. Still half asleep I said, “it is lightning”. Daughter woke up a hour or so later and thus I got up and yes…it was something I have never seen before. As soon as one flash stopped another started..over and over and over….it made me wonder what it was like at the site it was striking….
That was lightning technically, but it was the visible side effect of something bigger happening. I was outside for the whole duration and it was terrifying. The frequency of the pulses were akin to a cell phone alarm going off and buzzing. Non stop for ages, perhaps over half an hour to an hour. The lightning never moved in the sky, and the whole sky was illuminated horizon to horizon like an LED diode. This was no normal lightning. The charge was so great that the whole atmosphere was ionized into plasma with each pulse. Events like this occur when a very large spaceship is docked in our atmosphere and is absorbing electromagnetic energy from clouds. They wait typically until when most people are asleep to reduce exposure. Science has an explanation because they are explaining the physical lightnin but not what is going on overall.
