Photos & Video: Bermuda Triple Challenge
The Bermuda Triple Challenge got underway last night [Apr 4] in the Towne of St. George, with participants taking part in the Butterfield & Vallis Urban Foot Race, a 2-3K dash through the Old Towne including urban inspired obstacles and CrossFit workout stations.
The event continues this morning with teams tackling the KRyS Global Island Challenge in the sand and surf of Bermuda’s south shore, plus a guest visit to the Bermuda Regiment’s assault course.
Sunday morning provides for the climactic finish at the ACE Group Royal Challenge in Dockyard, followed by an appreciation brunch.
The aim of the Bermuda Triple Challenge is to raise $50,000 – $100,000 for local charities, so participants are encouraged to reach out into the community for pledges in order to improve their chances of winning.
A dual award point system based on teams’ total charitable funds raised and their finishing times will determine the weekend’s overall winners of the $1,000 grand prize.
This weekend’s event will benefit charities including Knowledge Quest, The Sunshine League, Raleigh International, Bermuda Insurance Institute, New Beginnings Education Trust, as well as St. George’s Prep, East End Primary and Somerset Primary PTAs.

I hope those car owners are up to date on their insurance, and govment gave out of service buses to climb on,if any are damaged is the public purse paying for it? Things that make you go hummm.
Awesome event – Well Done!!!!
@ Sofarbie – that is soooo dull. What makes you want to write something so negative.
This is clearly a great fun event and gets people out of their comfort zone, off the couch and doing something as a team at the weekends. How on earth could this be construed as negative. Better than sitting around eating, complaining and getting themselves at risk of heart disease and diabetes and costing the rest of us a fortune in health care dollars.
WELL DONE TO ALL WHO TOOK PART
This seems like fun, next year I will do it
Me too!
To all those who participated, congradulations. For all those considering on doing it next year, this event was awesome. I had the opportunity to participate last year at Warwick camp and regretted not being able to do the triple challenge. This year I was able to do them all because they were covered over single weekend. I have to admit that it was hard work but once it’s done there is such a great feeling of accomplishment. If these challenges were more often, I would sign up in a heartbeat. It gave me a reality check on my overall physical fitness and mental strength. It was awesome. That’s my spill on a great weekend.
To the organizers of this event…….
